The Dallas Regional Chamber (DRC) has selected Haynes Boone Litigation Partner Tim Newman as a member of the Leadership Dallas (LD) Class of 2027, the 52nd class of the region’s premier leadership program.
The 55-member class represents organizations across North Texas and will participate in LD, the DRC's nine-month leadership program. Established in 1975, the program helps participants deepen their understanding of key regional issues, including economic development, education, innovation, health care and public policy, while building relationships with leaders across North Texas.
“The best leaders understand the region they’re operating in—its people, its pressure points, its possibilities,” said Brad Cheves, DRC president and CEO. “The members of the Leadership Dallas Class of 2027 are each accomplished leaders inside their companies. We are grateful they are choosing to spend the next year getting to know North Texas far more deeply than most people ever will. That’s a real commitment, and it’s the kind that will make our region stronger for generations.”

Newman represents clients in government investigations, internal investigations, cybersecurity matters and litigation involving privacy and technology. A Chambers-ranked litigator, he regularly advises clients facing regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions before federal and state agencies.
He is also active in professional and community leadership, serving as a trustee of the Dallas Bar Foundation, fellows chair of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Foundation and inaugural chair of Haynes Boone’s Building Leaders Committee, which helps attorneys develop skills in people, practice and community leadership.
Newman joins several Haynes Boone lawyers who have previously participated in the LD program, including Partners Raquel Alvarenga, Sakina Rasheed Foster, Chris Kang, Nick Monier, John Turner and Laura Whitley; Senior Counsel Timothy Powers; and Of Counsel Rafael Anchia.
