BBB Austin and the Council of Better Business Bureaus were sued for defamation, “interference with prospective contract,” and negligence for BBB Austin’s business review and rating of plaintiff’s business alerting consumers to concerns with plaintiff’s business practices. Obtained dismissal and an award of attorneys’ fees under the Texas Anti-SLAPP statute.
