5 Haynes Boone Lawyers Named Among Top Attorneys in Austin

Austin Monthly magazine has included the following Haynes and Boone, LLP lawyers in its 2021 listing of Austin’s Top Attorneys: Partners Leslie Thorne and Adam Sencenbaugh; Senior Counsel Jeff Civins; Counsel Mike Hatchell; and Associate Andrew Van Osselaer.

Austin Monthly additionally named Hatchell and Civins as Legacy Award winners.

“These attorneys represent the best of the best with more than 30 years of experience,” the magazine said.

Van Osselaer was selected as a “Rising Star,” a designation for “bright up-and-comers with less than 5 years of experience.”

Published in the August issue of Austin Monthly, Austin’s Top Attorney 2021 was assembled through a peer-voting process in which licensed attorneys nominate their most esteemed peers, the magazine said.

Here are more details about the lawyers named among Austin’s best:

Leslie Thorne

Co-chair of Haynes Boone’s Litigation Practice Group, Leslie splits her time between the firm’s New York and Austin offices. She has successfully represented some the nation’s largest and most prominent corporations in complex commercial litigation, power-related disputes and insurance matters throughout the United States and Canada.

Adam Sencenbaugh

Adam represents clients in employment litigation and general civil litigation in arbitration, federal court, state court, and various state administrative agencies. He has tried more than 20 cases to jury verdict. He also serves as a trusted advisor to clients navigating a wide range of employment law issues.

Jeff Civins

For 45 years, Jeff has enjoyed helping clients find pragmatic solutions to tough problems involving all aspects of environmental law, including counseling them on regulatory issues, helping them manage environmental risks in business transactions, and advocating on their behalf before agencies and courts.

Mike Hatchell

Mike’s practice focuses on appeals in all state and federal courts with emphasis on the Supreme Court of Texas. He has argued 47 appeals or original proceedings in the Supreme Court of Texas, has argued en banc to the federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals twice, and has appeared in all 14 courts of appeal in Texas.

Andrew Van Osselaer

Andrew is a litigator who concentrates on complex commercial disputes and investigations arising from clients’ commercial and industrial operations. He represents clients in industry sectors that rely heavily on technical expertise and engineering judgment.
