Earthstone Energy Inc’s acquisition of Permian Basin operator Chisholm Energy Holdings LLC, in a cash-and-stock transaction worth over $600 million, was selected as the Small & Mid-Market Energy Deal of the Year.
Earthstone was represented by a Haynes Boone deal team that included Partner and Co-Chair of the Oil and Gas Practice Group Austin Elam, Partner Kim Mai, and Associate Camie Carlock.
The Atlas Awards honor the best-value creating deals and top dealmakers in the U.S. over the past year.
Haynes Boone is also serving as counsel to Earthstone in its acquisition of the assets of Midland Basin operator Bighorn Permian Resources, LLC in a cash-and-stock transaction worth approximately $860 million. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2022, and is being handled by a team that again features Elam, Mai and Carlock, along with Partner Raquel Alvarenga and Associates Briana Hopes and Reem Abdelrazik.
