Haynes Boone is pleased to announce the expansion of its Fund Finance Practice Group leadership team with the appointment of Deborah Low, Holly Loftis and Brent Shultz as co-heads. The promotions reflect the continued momentum of the group, which has grown to more than 80 attorneys across the firm and is poised for further growth to meet the challenges of a dynamic and rapidly evolving fund finance market.
As the trio steps into leadership, Partner Albert Tan will continue his role as global head of the group.
“We have experienced tremendous growth over the past half-decade, both in terms of new attorneys joining our team and in expanding our relationships and engagements with our fund finance clients, particularly over the last year,” Tan said. “From 2024 to 2025, our clients trusted us with a 34 percent increase in new deals, resulting in a 31 percent rise in billable hours. The group is operating at a scale that requires and will benefit from a broader leadership structure, and I’m excited and grateful to begin collaborating with Deborah, Holly and Brent as a cohesive leadership team.”
Low, Loftis and Shultz each bring deep experience advising lenders on complex fund finance structures, including subscription lines, NAV and hybrid facilities, GP and management loans, and partner loan programs.
Low focuses on subscription and NAV facilities and related leverage solutions, also serving as co-chair of the firm’s industry-leading NAVember conference. Loftis is a seasoned fund finance attorney, having spent more than 15 years guiding lenders through complicated subscription lines, GP financings, management company lines, SBIC lines, hybrid facilities, SMAs and JVs, financings for continuation vehicles and other fund-level financing arrangements. She serves as a co-head for the Women in Fund Finance, which is an industry body advocating for and promoting women in the fund finance and broader alternative asset class industries. Shultz has structured and closed billions of dollars of bespoke fund finance transactions ranging from some of the largest syndicated deals in the market to tailored facilities for emerging managers and serves on the American Bar Association’s Fund Finance Subcommittee and the Fund Finance Association’s External Relations Committee.
“I joined the firm in 2021 to help launch our Charlotte office and grow our fund finance practice, and since then we have increased our group’s fund finance revenues by a multiple of 2.5, with expectations of continued growth in the new year,” Loftis said. “We have strategically built a deep and talented roster of dedicated fund finance attorneys capable of handling the most complex and sophisticated transactions in the market.”
Together, Tan, Low, Loftis and Shultz will oversee the practice across key markets in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America to drive strategic initiatives and enhance the group’s reputation as a premier global fund finance practice.
