Haynes Boone Lawyers Featured in 2023 Best Lawyers in Mexico

Six Haynes and Boone, LLP lawyers have been recognized in the 2023 edition of the Best Lawyers in Mexico directory, an annual referral guide of outstanding lawyers in Mexico that is published by Woodward/White, Inc.

Lawyers are selected based on detailed peer-review evaluations by professionals in the same geographical and legal practice area.

The following lawyers were recognized in the Best Lawyers in Mexico directory this year:

Alberto de la Peña – Corporate and Mergers and Acquisitions Law, Energy Law

Alberto heads the Mexico and International Practice Groups and is a member of the Board of Directors of Haynes Boone. Alberto is licensed to practice law in Mexico, Texas and New York, with more than 28 years of experience in advising companies doing business in Mexico and Latin America.

César Rafael Ramírez del Ángel – Corporate and Mergers and Acquisitions Law

Edgar Klee Müdespacher – Tax Law

Edgar is a partner in the Tax Practice Group and administrative partner of Haynes Boone's Mexico City office. He focuses on offering sophisticated corporate tax advice on international taxation, tax counseling for individuals, legal structuring, customs and foreign trade, and general tax litigation.

Eduardo Corzo – Banking and Finance Law, Energy Law, Maritime Law

Eduardo is a transactional lawyer with extensive experience in energy, maritime law, finance, real estate and corporate / M&A. With more than 15 years of practice, Eduardo is distinguished for his lead role in a number of multinational projects.

Hunt Buckley – Corporate and Mergers and Acquisitions Law, Energy Law

Hunt has more than 30 years of experience in international and domestic transactions, focused primarily on the energy industry, along with others. He has represented international and domestic energy and telecommunications companies and service providers, project developers, financial institutions, and domestic and foreign investors in various projects in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, South America, China, Southeast Asia, West Africa, and the Former Soviet Union.

Jorge Sánchez- Banking and Finance Law, International Trade and Finance Law, Project Finance and Development Practice

Jorge has more than 20 years of experience advising foreign and domestic clients many of which are Fortune 500 companies in a wide range of corporate and financial matters, including equity, asset financing and leasing transactions, structured and commodity finance, public procurement, M&A, joint ventures, antitrust, mining and natural resources.
