Haynes Boone achieved four top-10 rankings in the 2025 PTAB Intelligence Report published by Patexia, a leading provider of IP analytics and research. The report, which analyzes five years of Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) activity from July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2025, highlights Haynes Boone as one of the nation’s top-performing and most active firms in PTAB litigation.
The firm’s rankings include:

- #5 Best Performing Law Firm (Overall)
- #9 Most Active Law Firm (Overall)
In addition to firm-wide accolades, 19 Haynes Boone attorneys were individually recognized among the top PTAB practitioners nationwide.
- Partner David McCombs is recognized as a Top-15 Most Active PTAB Attorney. He ranks 12th in petitioner activity out of 1,000 attorneys, handling 103 cases this past year.
