Haynes Boone has advised Sugarloaf Hospitality in its acquisition of the UK operations of TGI Fridays, the global casual dining brand. The transaction expands Sugarloaf’s international footprint and preserves continuity of service, brand and employment for TGI Fridays.
The Haynes Boone team was led by Partners Michael Mulligan and Nicholas Foss-Pedersen, with support from Partner Martin Pugsley, Counsel Natalie Georgiou and Associates Michael Byrne and Christopher Orford.
Under the terms of the transaction, Sugarloaf acquires the UK portfolio of TGI Fridays operations, including nearly 50 locations and approximately 2,000 employees. The deal reflects Sugarloaf’s commitment to maintaining operations and brand value while supporting ongoing growth in the UK.
