Haynes Boone advised Concrete Partners Holding, LLC (Suncrete), a portfolio company of SunTx Capital Partners, in a strategic acquisition of Schwarz Ready Mix that expands Suncrete’s footprint into the Oklahoma City metro area.
The Haynes Boone team was led by M&A Partners Kellie Bobo and Bryan Diebels, Finance Partner Paul Amiel and Finance Associate Laura Shapiro. The team was assisted by M&A Associates Taylor Calvert, Rachael Williams and Ethan Moore, Finance Associates Brooke Reichardt and Elizabeth Maclay and Real Estate Associates Maddie Ballard and Ashley Schneider.
Haynes Boone also represented SunTx Capital Partners and Suncrete through a $972 million proposed business combination earlier this month to pursue a listing on the New York Stock Exchange.
“We are proud to continue supporting SunTx Capital Partners and Suncrete as they execute their strategic growth plan,” said Bobo. “This expansion into the Oklahoma City metro area strengthens Suncrete’s position as a key player in the construction materials industry in Oklahoma and across the Sunbelt.”
Suncrete is a ready-mix concrete logistics and distribution platform operating in a mission-critical segment of the construction value chain. It has an established base of high-quality concrete plants and tech-enabled mixer trucks that are strategically located in Oklahoma and Arkansas with plans to expand throughout the high-growth Sunbelt region of the United States, benefitting from attractive population, housing and infrastructure growth tailwinds.
“Today's acquisition significantly expands our operations in the fast-growing Oklahoma City metro area while strategically growing our geographic footprint in the state,” said Randall Edgar, CEO of Suncrete, in a statement.
