The Haynes and Boone, LLP deal team, led by Dan Malone, a partner in the firm’s Corporate and Private Equity Practices Groups, represented Tri Global Energy (TGE) in the sale of its business to Canada’s largest energy company, Enbridge Inc.

Tri Global Energy announced the transaction Sept. 30, 2022.

Tri Global is a leading renewable energy developer and currently the third-largest onshore wind developer in the U.S., with a development portfolio of wind, solar and energy storage projects representing more than 7 GW of renewable generation capacity.

"Today TGE is an industry leader in clean energy with a highly talented and experienced team. Our current opportunity with Enbridge allows for continued robust growth to meet the challenge of our lifetime – the transition to a low-carbon economy."
